President and co-founder Steve E. Chapman is the visionary behind Water In West Texas. He has more than 40 years of experience in the O&G industry. He has worked with Shell Oil, Gulf Oil and Tenneco Oil. Mr. Chapman also has 20 years of experience in real estate, ranching and housing development. In the last 10 years, Chapman has subdivided and sold 3,000 acres into 20 acre tracts in Eagle Pass, TX. In the last five years, Chapman created and operated an oil & gas well service company servicing the Eagle Ford Shale. Before that, he operated a small oil & gas company out of San Angelo, TX where he drilled 60 production wells. He holds a business degree with a path to petroleum engineering from The University of Texas in Austin.
Gary Harrell has more than 50 years of experience in solution handling.His background includes large scale development of automated irrigation systems on permanent crops in California. Instrumental in introduction, engineering and installation of applying drip irrigation techniques to drip leach mining in the US and abroad. Gary has more than 30 years of involvement in agricultural operations including farming, grain elevator, fertilizer application, irrigation pump service and engineering and installation of row crop drip irrigation systems in the high plains of Texas. Has served on the board of directors in the telephone industry more than 30 years with involvement in land line service, cellular , and fiber optics deployment. Current involvement in overseeing engineering of Pecos SS well development and pipeline insight. Educational background in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.
